Ok folks, time to vote on which Group Builds you would like to see in 2020. I have put up all the suggestions proposed in the last 12mths. See here for more info on each - starting at about Reply#436. Also feel free to ask. Please note that I may have merged a couple given they had similar or overlapping themes.

Poll will run for 2wks. Each member gets 5 votes and you are able to change your mind if you so desire (e.g. to help whittle down the results if you see your preferred is not going anywhere). Campaigning to get your favourites picked is allowed.

Plan is to have the first new GB start no later than 1st Feb 2020.

So, Sci-Fi GB (18 votes) and Firefighting GB (15 votes) placed #1 and #2, but there are several candidates for #3, with Civil Transport GB, Invasion of Japan/Japan ‘46 GB, Helicopters & autogyros GB and Scaleorama GB getting 13 votes each. Looks like there will have to be another round of votin'.

Just some ideas:

Crazy paint schemes GB has 9 votes, Paint it Pink and Paint it Black each have 3. Combined 15 possible? Merge for second vote?

Civil Transport, Swords into Plowshares (8 votes) and VIP/Ambulance (5 votes) could form a Civil GB? Then again, Ambulance could also be part of Firefighting.
Unarmed (4votes) could include civilian models, but military ones just as well (recce, transport....), so I guess it wouldn't have to be merged with a civilian topic.

Those are some great ideas. Maybe Firefighters and Other 1st Responders? Then Civil/Swords into Plowshares and then the Rainbow of Paint Schemes?

Excellent suggestion. So, for example, we might have combined Civil Transport/Swords into Plowshares/Unarmed (24 total votes), combined Firefighting/VIP transport/Ambulance (20 total votes), Sci-Fi GB (18 votes), Scaleorama GB (13 votes), and Invasion of Japan/Japan ‘46 GB (13 votes).

I think all you need to do is have a second poll for the ideas tied for third. A lot of the others haven't garnered any interest which means just that- and a couple of the GB's last year were a bit of a let down I think, as only one or two entrants participated.

Another thought is the whole GB within a GB idea.

For example, the main GB might be Unarmed but within it is Civil, Military, Swords Into Plowshares and VIP transport.

You could do this with Firefighting as well. Maybe even call it Emergency! or whatever and have GBs within it for firefighters, air ambulances, police (will they ever leave me alone?), etc.

No matter how things shake out the discussion has been most enjoyable. Thank you.

Folks, having totalled up the results and consulted with Czar Vlad in Moscow, the results in order of priority are as follows:

Sci-Fi GB
Fire fighting GB
Civil Transport GB
Invasion of Japan/Japan ‘46 GB
Helicopters & autogyros GB
Scaleorama GB

The last 4 were all tied. Given a number of the other options could be interpreted as versions of the Civil Transport GB, I am happy for it to go first of that lot.

On top of this, I am happy to have a year long quick build (no more than 48 hours) GB as well.

Now the fun part, locking down moderators. As usual, either volunteer or be prepared to be volunteered!
