Group Build Calendar Re-jig
« on: September 14, 2022, 03:05:20 AM »
Folks,

Following discussion here, I have done a rejig of the current GB calendar (see below) to include longer GBs and also a break between each.  Before setting on it though we need to agree.  I have also included an option related to whether we need to re-consider those planned given we would now be considering a listing out until the end of 2023.  If this last option gets the maximum number, I will sort something separate out to address.

Tentative re-jigged GB Calendar:

  • In the Service of Her Majesty GB Mid SEP- Mid DEC 2022
  • "Automatons on Parade"  Unmanned/autonomous vehicles GB:  JAN-MAR 2023
  • "From the Sea" Amphibious GB:  MAY-JUL 2023
  • Ancient empires still alive GB:  SEP-NOV 2023

You each have 1 vote but you can change your mind if need be.  Poll open for a week.

I believe the second should be "JAN-MAR 2023" rather than several months ago?
 ;)

I think it’s appropriate to reconsider the schedule in light of the death of the Queen.

I'd suggest, maybe, three month long GB's but no gap month between them; so Jan-Mar/Apr-Jun/Jul-Sep/Oct-Dec.

Start dates (1st of the month) could be moved forwards or backwards from those given if deemed appropriate;

eg: Mar-May/Jun-Aug/Sep-Nov/Dec-Feb  or  Feb-Apr/May-Jul/Aug-Oct/Nov-Jan

This makes a lot of sense to me.

Ok, so looks like the majority of people who voted want the re-jig and would like to have some re-consideration of the topics.  I will set something else up shortly.
