That is lovely, smeds! Welcome to Beyond the Sprues. Though, I must say, as someone who lives near NAS Jax in the perpetual shadow of the P-3 Orion, there is an element of sacrilege to this!
Cheers,
Logan

Yeah, some will say the same about the Nimrod in USN markings lol

Very nice looking Nimrod. Wondering now what the number of this beast have been if it were to have actually been adopted by the U.S. Navy? P-4 was taken by the Privateer, P-5 was the Marlin, P-6 was the Sea Master, P-7 is a good candidate.

Outstanding!
-
Looks like it "belongs" in that scheme & those markings!

P-7 was a 1980's replacement for the P-3 that was supposed to make considerable use of P-3 tooling; it turned out that they needed to make most of it anew and the price went beyond what the USN was willing to pay; leading to the project's cancellation.

Smeds, like they've all said, thats a cool looking build. Its a better fit than the P8 Poseidon IMHO.

That is exceptional in both concept and execution :-* Welcome aboard!! And thanks for sharing :)

Well I am partial to anything colored hemp, but this is a nice execution.
and I'd like to thank whoever modified my 'personnal text' ;) ( however did you know? )

One newbie to another - welcome! I like the US Nimrod, and it looks like a really beautifully made model - envy! (I can never get a really smooth paint finish on my models - I've got to find out what one of these air brush thingies is, and try and make it work).

Awesommmmmme!
It looks right in those markings, it just does. And, nothing would annoy the USAF than the USN buying from somebody other than Boeing!

Gorgeous bit of work there and I'd love to see the "EP" variant, having worked on the EP-3E on a previous job.

Nicely done!
That looks so very right.

Amazing work
