Henschel Hs 126 Floatplane
« on: May 27, 2017, 02:07:43 PM »
This is part of my World War II Goes Hot in Latin America alternate history.  I will soon publish this portion in the Stories section, but for now, I thought you might enjoy my favorite profile from the story of the Republic of Panama int he Second World War.

This is a Henschel Hs 126 of the Guardia Nacional del Aire, shown in 1945 after modification with a Wright R-1820 engine, Edo floats, and American-made equipment (including replacing the 7.92 mm, MG-15 with an M1919, .30-cal machine gun).  You can learn more about this when I post the story in a few more days.  In the meantime, enjoy this profile!

"World War II Goes Hot in Latin America" is a great idea. I'm a bit surprised it didn't happen in real life, since both axis and allied powers were involved in the area.

What an excellent concept! That high-mounted tailplane makes the Hs 126 a natural for floats. Love you Latino-ization too  :)

This looks great! Hmm, World War Two reaches the Western Hemisphere.
Does that mean Brazil vs. Argentina?
