This project/concept dates from more than 5 years ago http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,14387.0.html (http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,14387.0.html) but model is not started yet. I know, I am so lazy!
At the end of this thread a Philippine (from Philip II, not from Philippine Islands) DORA is promised. After years,
that Dora became a Black AlbaDora.

There was a parallel project in this parallel world in our parallel forum http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,21400.0.html (http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,21400.0.html)
Now a bit of History http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tercio (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tercio)
In this last thread you could see why BLACK:

In this famous painting, Spanish generals are in the right side, wearing black which was fashion in spanish society of the time, deeply marked by religion.
You can also compare dressing in Queen Elizabeth I and King Philip II

Seeing the set of the wings in profile make me think this is going to be a very neat looking bird! Great
name for a fighter, too!

I'm with Cliffy B.
Like the combination. Kind I would like to have thought of and built. Flow of lines between airplane types is working well.
-
Wow!!! :)
Indeed!!!
-
Yes, the point is that the section behind Dora's cockpit is just the same as the Albatros' at air intakes level. I do not know why.
Another reflection: I think that the Czech region in which Aero Aircraft are manufactured was preferently Catholic after Protestant Reformation. Am I right?
-
Carlos, you sir are a kit surgeon first class!
That's one incredible concept which is showing some magnificent execution!

Gutsy build Carlos and it looks great! :)

Not really, Bohemia can be viewed as the staging ground for the later Reformation. Jan Hus was from Prague. After his burning, five crusades were launched to try to suppress the Hussite revolution. They failed and Catholicism became a minority religion in Bohemia Moravia. The Compacts of Basle were signed to end the fighting between Hussite Bohemia and the Catholic Church.

Collecting info:
Here you can see flag of Spanish ships: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Invincible_Armada.jpg (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Invincible_Armada.jpg)
Here you can see that Murrey, Purple or Crimsom (you can choose the shade) was a frequent addition in old spanish uniforms. The Burgundy Cross on yellow background too: http://naricesrojas66.blogspot.com.es/2012/05/los-tercios-espanoles-un-tercio-era-una.html (http://naricesrojas66.blogspot.com.es/2012/05/los-tercios-espanoles-un-tercio-era-una.html)
