If anything they would be trading beaver pelts for food or manufactured goods. And the teepees are a gross mistake. I wonder if the body paint and feather decoration is anywhere near accurate. Poor guy!

Who knows?  Fashions changed over time and between communities.  Since it was a business meeting, he got dressed up  a bit.  Now, if he had some iron pots...

Spotted over on ModelGeek: The Mohicans

I think they'd work well in other settings as well.

The whole series of figures is very well done and they would work either as is or in other settings (like post-apocalyptic). The guy on the left must be German, because he's pointing into the distance...

Yup, post-apoc was my first thought, Frank.  Change out the long guns or gizmo/greeblie them up, add a few other items and there you go.  I'll be getting them when they become available.

Like these, too. You don't need to ditch the muzzle-loaders, just modify them to something less professionally made - modern rifles & ammunition can't last forever;

I would lose the frills on the buckskin jacket, though, they're far too 1960's-Hippy to be believable in a post-apocalyptic world. ;)

Looking at the back of the boxtop (on their site) the frills could be easily removed or filled in:

I recently found out that the frills on a buckskin jacket actually have a function, see :-

I don't know about calling it the Mohicans as only one guy looks like a native American the other two are clearly European trapper types.

They're part of a sci-fi set of figures they've been releasing over the last few/several years in 1/24;

Be aware, however, that the images do not always accurately reflect the contents of the box.

This guy is mostly OK, except his right hand is human (five normal fingers) which is an annoyance. They probably changed the design mid-modeling and forgot to fix the sword hand.

New from Masterbox, continuing their "Indian Wars" series:

The prospector/mule pair looks good for other settings, right off the bat.

The box art is gorgeous but looks more like a donkey. The kit, on the other hand, looks more like a small horse (short muzzle, shortish ears).

To my eyes, neither has caught 'mule'. So, maybe a bit of 'corrective surgery' ... or am I just nit-picking here?

Every time I see new release in this series.  :smiley:

Great move by Master Box, sets them apart from the majority of Injector Manufacturers and intrudes on Resin niche subject space.

No, not nit-picking, I think something was lost in translation and "Mule" was used instead of "Donkey."  The features for a mule are not there but the features for a sweet ass/donkey most certainly are.

I'm a sucker for Masterbox kits (despite their shortcomings) and I ordered the Prospector and kit #6, with the Mohicans and two white settlers.
