1:48 Tamiya kit.
Pix to come.

Cockpit well under way.

While little plastic will be modified, it's a He-219 not seen before.   ;)

You know, Dr Daryl, you're as bad as every date I had in high school.

Guys, it could be worse, he could be showing us leg here too while he teases!

I am indeed looking forward to your take on the He-219! Japanese markings and a tailhook perhaps?

Ok....all goofiness aside.

When I bought the kit not long after it was issued, there were no websites devoted to this kind of modeling but the intent at that time was to build it as a Vietnam era USAF night time strafing machine.   That means a couple gun pods under wing and perhaps some napalm too.   The cockpit will have scabbed on armor a la Skyraider and F-5A.  Resin rivet heads are already in the stash along with enough Evergreen sheet styrene.   No radar antennae and quite possibly no rear seat.   While not a Skyraider replacement and slightly anachronistic, I've felt the He-219 along with a Ju-88G (some day) would look quite decent in Tan 30219, Green 34079, and Green 34102 over black.

Why not?   ;D

More than a year away and the place descends into soft-core erotica.  :icon_sueno: So very disappointing.

On the other hand, an Uhu! Cool!
