Wishful thinking shooting down an F-15 though, I thought I've read somewhere no F-15 has ever been shot down in combat

Maybe it was just flying by in about 2050 when the Eagle target drone was downed by an F-35XX?

Wishful thinking shooting down an F-15 though

I think you would find it a fairly close match.

I've been following the KH Huey over on ARC, the makers have some decent UH-1 experts working as consultants - the kind who have been scratching/bashing existing kits for years to get every aerial, vent and panel line right.

I thought I've read somewhere no F-15 has ever been shot down in combat
There's a first time for everything! You're right though: the Wiki for type losses says "Of all aircraft lost, none have been lost in air-to-air combat."

According to them what knows the 1/35th is still in the pipeline.

Really hoping to see Kitty Hawk produce an F-86H in 1:48th scale.

F6U Pirate was never one of my favourites.

David Funke has shared images and product review at modellversium.de for the new 1:48th scale Kitty Hawk UH-1D "Huey" model kit.  Plenty of pictures showing the kit contents and how many parts are in this kit.  :)

Personally, I would be interested in doing a carrier based trainer version  (akin to the T-45) or perhaps a single seat modification...or maybe a UCAV

All three of those sound good.  For the single-seat version, have the pilot where the backseat pilot is now and fit the new nose with a radome, suitable radar, and "black boxes".

<...> or perhaps a single seat modification... <...>

Hmmm.....

Yak-130 single-seater concepts by Motschke, on Flickr

I think I like the original one best. While I'm not so sure about the Hawk 200, I think making the previous back-seater the driver works here.

And a Yak-130G (G for "gak" - "hook", as on the Su-25UTG) is a splendid idea.

CyberModeler/Michael Benolkin just uploaded a quick review of the KittyHawk Models 1:48th scale (80141) Su-34 Fullback kit

So many weapons included with this kit, it tempts me.  Must resist... :)

I found this image in a review of the  Kittyhawk 1/48th scale Yakovlev Yak-130 'Mitten'. I'm sometimes an after market person as I build in 1/72 but as you get into 1/48 and larger scales, you would think the manufacturer would spend some extra resources on items like the very visible cockpit.
