Title: Anzio team Semevonte.
Post by: Feldmarschall Zod on December 25, 2014, 11:47:08 PM
From the Girls und Panzer anime series.

http://gup.wikia.com/wiki/Semovente_da_75/18 (http://gup.wikia.com/wiki/Semovente_da_75/18) Not sure how close to matching the sand color I can get.

I am using the Tamiya Semevonte. I got this as part of a Secret Santa from SMA. The box says it comes with a PE set. It does not. It does come with link and length tracks. I will be replacing the Jerry cans,

This is an older Tamiya kit, but builds up nicely and quickly. I used the rubber band tracks and they were fine. It has a "detailed" interior (for the day), although the figures look strange.

The old Tamiya figures always looked strange. ;D

I finally had some time dping some building finally after coming back on the road. I drilled the holes out on the muzzle brake. I forgot what fun and easy it is to build these older Tamiya kits. No drama with them. This kit goes back to 1974. :o

No kidding. If HobbyBoss made this kit now, it would have 800 parts and a sheet of tiny PE parts that'll never be seen. The details may be simplified in some areas, but the tank looks great when finished.

After watching the Anzio battle again,to see what colors were used on the tank tools,I noticed a third Jerry can on the left side. So today,I added another one. I will respray when I can get into warmer weather.

Don't know this vehicle or the kits of it.  But looks fine/right to me :)
Your pinvise work on muzzle brake adds character being at high viz spot.

Thanks Finsrin. I think this Tamiya kit is older than some members here, :o

Looked done to me.  Wouldn't thought of dust, but am not an armor builder.
Tools & mufflers add legit contrast to already fine build :)

Looks good, Chad! Those old Tamiya kits are fun to build and they dress up purty.

Thanks Frank3k. I love how the old Tamiya kits have no drama building them.

Nice work on that Semovente! (semovente means self-moving in Italian, not "semevonte" :)).

I would add some dust on the tracks, and also some graphite pencil on its surface , though.

Thanks Antonio.

I wanted to make this as close to the anime version as I could. I did go too much on the wash.
