Apparently it was really fast too, in the book "The Big Show', Clostermann (when he was flying Tempests) narrates that one of his pilots came across one while the pilot was out on a strike mission, the pilot immediately tried to shoot it down, but the thing just turned tail and left him standing ---- and this was at low level too where the Tempest tended to excel --

Indeed.  Just using a quick comparison

Do335:  763 km/h (474 mph, 412 kn) at 6,500 m (21,300 ft)
Tempest II: 710 km/h (440 mph, 380 kn) at 5,200 m (17,000 ft); 660 km/h (410 mph, 360 kn) at 8,800 m (29,000 ft) - note that I have used the two figures for the Tempest since they 'bracket' that for the Do335

The Anteater was an amazing piston engined aircraft. Great photos
I seem to remember a similar interception story, a pair of 8th AF P-51D's went to bounce a prototype Ta 152H that promptly climbed and left the Mustangs behind in it's wake  8)

"The Ta 152H-1 was among the fastest piston-engined fighters of the war, with a top speed comparable to the twin-engined Dornier Do 335. It was capable of 755 kilometres per hour (469 mph) at 13,500 metres (44,300 ft)
...
Kurt Tank was flying an unarmed Ta 152H in late 1944 to a meeting at the Focke-Wulf plant in Cottbus when ground controllers warned him of two P-51 Mustangs. The enemy aircraft appeared behind Tank, but he escaped by applying full power and engaging the MW 50 boost "until they were no more than two dots on the horizon"."

The Boeing Company today completed another set of COVID-19 airlift missions, deploying three Dreamlifter aircraft to transport more than 150,000 protective eye goggles and face shields from China to the United States. Boeing worked in partnership with the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) to deliver the personal protective equipment (PPE) to frontline health care professionals in the MUSC system.

Similar to previous airlift missions flown by the Dreamlifter – a converted Boeing 747-400 Large Cargo Freighter – the medical cargo was transported in the lower lobe of all three aircraft, while 787 component parts were flown in the main deck cargo hold. Boeing donated the cost of the mission transport, with Atlas Air operating the flights on behalf of Boeing. Boeing has scheduled additional flights, to deliver a total of 400,000 units of PPE to MUSC, in the near future.

It's funny to think, when the B-52 was in development, it's 'crab' landing gear was a guarded secret!

Two great images of six PLAAF J-10Cs loaded with an interesting armament load: Visible are PL-10 & PL-12 AAMSs - even on rarely seen twin-launchers - and KD-88. AGMs.

There's a group of T-6 Texan owners that does a flyby over the nearby Veteran's cemetery on various holidays. They were practicing this evening; I heard them and rushed outside.

Closeup. They have various markings, they had a WWII German one, but IIRC it crashed a couple of years ago:

Flying off into the sunset. The "smoke" is just low level clouds/fog rolling in:
