I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

I fairly sure that photo is in the book 'War Prizes' Carl. I'll have a look later once everyone else has woken up  --

It was this:

The Captured Aircraft Exhibition, Farnborough, November 1945: Some eighty German aircraft were gathered at Farnborough after the war ended. During October/November 1945, the public was given access: a 'German Aircraft Exhibition' was held from Monday 29 October to Friday 9 November 1945, with the main flying display taking place on Sunday 4 November.

Don't know if this question is in Evan's line of expertise, but does turning that leading edge upwards like that reverse the shape of the airfoil so it pushes down like on a race car ?

Agreed! Have plans to do a Rotodyne, Chinook and a Skycrane in this scheme. Though I do prefer the white band on top version. The Rotodyne should be done with the red on top.

No provided date or location. Maybe late 1945 or early 1946.

Unless I'm mistaken, that is a Spiteful, MB-5, Firebrand, Brigand and Firefly in the first row.

Now if they were all FAA versions that could be the makings of an interesting airwing.

And the big tail/fin at the end is a Spearfish, which makes me wonder why the MB5 is in that particular line-up. Were they contemplating a FAA version ---- something I've had on my projects list for a while now ---

[quote Martin Baker Firefish?
I don't think so, "Fire" as the first syllable was pretty much Blackburn's "trademark" at the time (Firebrand and Firecrest)  much as Ryan used it in the USA.  How about MB.5N "Sea Gryphon" with the standard MB.5 as the "Gryphon"?
