Interesting that they're listing an MV-22 in 1/48 (kit # 81769).  If/when it's released I'll get at least one to put side-by-side with my collection of Italeri kits.

I saw in person the Hobby Boss 1/32 B-24D this morning. It has some major issues.  A few observations.

The nose shape is all wrong. Instead of tapering down to the underside, it stays almost straight. From D on there is no inward taper.
The main landing gear is styrene and may not support the weight of the kit.
The rear turret is made in two pieces and will have seams on the and side. Top and ball turrets are okay.
The engines are 1 dimensional/shallow. 1/2 a cylinder against a blanking plate.

I suspect the aftermarket vendors will fix most issues but not the wrong nose shape.

The new Leopard kit includes an enginekit.













But why that? The enginedeck is closed. That makes no sense.
The new Meng Leo 1 has an open deck. But the chassis ist to small:





Another option: put on the Takom Bpz 2.







But honestly, the engine is not very well detailed, especially at the bottom half.

At some point, the Italieri kit was updated to match the present V-22 configuration.  I've seen one built that matches present-build aircraft quite well.

It appears that the HobbyBoss V-22 Osprey is now available but the price will have you questioning the practicality of acquiring the kit...   

HobbySearch has it now listed as a pre-order item to be available in December: Hobby Boss (81769) 1:48th scale MV-22 Osprey

And, from what I've seen, they have updated their molds to accurately depict the MV-22B.  At this point, I can't see committing the monies being asked for that kit.

At least doing an emu bob for brass after a range shoot with that thing would be relatively simple.

Just finished the 1/72 2S19 MSTA-S kit. Very nice, very crisp and petit detail. Went together well. Had a lot of fun with this kit.

Now working on their 1/35 XM706E2 Commando and it's completely the opposite. Heavy handed or missing detail, soft mouldings, simplistic engineering. Quite disappointing, really.

Looks like you have the option of fully folding up the props/rotors and the wing...which almost justifies the reported price (@ $200USD)

...and you don't mind bugs in your face, or Bad Guys being so unsporting as to aim at your exposed face and torso instead of the armor plating.

Miniart has a series on T-60 kits with interior (and probably fewer errors and easier to build...) so I don't see the attraction of the Hobby Boss kit.

Why do all the latest crop of vehicles like this, always appear top-heavy ? Am I missing something ?

As an aside, in another thread (maybe here or another forum), I was looking at a manufacturer's catalogue someone had linked to, and I can buy these in 1/72 scale -- I just can't remember now where I saw that.
