Arrrrrhhh matey!  I see the pirate's grog of choice proudly displayed.  Captain Morgan's would be a good choice too. ;)  I think it's a very cool plane, and a great idea.  Now don't let the Somali pirates find out...

Most excellent, Radish! There's so much that amazing about this build: the way cool modifications, the fantastic paintwork & weathering, the pirate flags, the cool Budweiser logo...outstanding!!!

I was considering beginning a P-47S Super-Bolt, but I've just remembered I've a steampunked 1/48th Zero already primed....

Talking of somali pirates me and some mates went to a "pirate" themed night at a nightclub last year... One of our number was a charming black fella who thought it would be far more amusing to come not as a traditional YARR pirate but a adidas wearing, AK47 welding Somali.. He also handed out blank CDR's for good measure all night... INSPIRED !

Looks like what a pirate Corsair should/would look like.
I think it to be image Hollywood needs to capture for a movie with pirate Corsair(s).

That's a great looking finish! It reminds me a bit of Keith Thompson's artwork.

Thanks guys.....pulled another Academy F4U-4B from the stash last night after I'd got in from the pub. It'll be "modified" again....not sure how, but extended nose is obligatory....otherwise a more usual armament and although it won't be USN or USMC, it will be Glossy Sea Blue-ish....

Once more it'll be flying, although probably not from a skull.
