« on: July 26, 2016, 06:10:34 AM »
The local car model club ran a contest/show this past weeked. The theme was "Deuce Days in Scale", as the Pacific Northwest Deuce days event (1200 classic cars, most '32 Fords) was in town as well.
But I digress. Here's what I built:

First, I removed the doors.

I them did the initial painting, using Tamiya spraycan paints.

Initial rust was applied using Vallejo Weathering Effects "Rust Texture"

Another layer of green was airbrushed on, using a Dark Green from Vallejo. Rust was then rubbed into it at various location, using the Model Air Vallejo rust colours.

Basswood was used to build the ramp and the nesting boxes.

Final result. 1932 Deuce "Coop".

Too late, I realised they meant "Coupe", not "coop". Oops.

 ;D

You, sir, have a very twisted mind; I like that in a person.  Beautiful work and most enjoyable concept and presentation.

Great to finally see the pictures of your Chicken Coop.  Looks just like I had imagined except much cleaner than a real chicken coop would be :)

Thanks for the laughs, Alvis, been a tough day...

Not only is the humor appreciated, but not enough can be said for your mastery of that "lived in" look (whether by chickens or men)! Outstanding!
