inspiration ... BN.2 Islander, G-AVUB, on the deck of HMS. Hermes, 26 May 1968. During assessment trials, the aircraft landed and launched again without the use of arresting gear and catapult, hmm, Islander for Royal Navy COD.? 'junglie' for RM. liason or deployment ? Admirals Barge ? (hehe, if the RAF. and army can have them makes sense the 'senior service' too 8)

I wonder if the Islander's STOL performance would allow it to land on an Invincible class? I'm imaging it giving the British Task Force a AEW capability during the Falklands War?
