So many kits in the stash to choose from, which one gets the nod?

Cormorant? Super Stallion? One of 3 or 4 flavors of V-22?  Skip all of those and go for the V-44/Quad Tilt Rotor...

Am I correct in assuming that ZELL developments are included?

#7. Physical creations, pixels and stories will be judged separately
There are 2 possible discrepant readings for this sentence, could you tell us which one is your meaning?:
1) A= physical, B= pixels and stories
2) A= physical, B= pixels and C= stories
[Because I have a story for all airplanes to become VTOL in 1944, should I made a separate topic? (meaning2), or include this with my drawings? (meaning1)]
Thanks!

Hi Tophe

I think it is 3 categories, like most of the GBs around. 1 category for finished builds, one for pixels, one for stories.

My fault completely for not putting up the threads all in one go. Rectifying that straightaway.

Ciao

What about launch platforms or bases specifically or even solely intended to operate vertical take off flying thingies?

Skyhook ships, helicopter and harrier carriers etc?

I tend to be more open and inclusive in GBs, so I would say it is alright so long as it keeps the "vertical spirit" in mind. So unless Modeling Mushi disagrees I think its alright.  :)

Dare I say, specifically designed ships such as the following (rather than helicopter and harrier carriers) would be more in the spirit.  Skyhook ships would probably be allowable.

Digging through boxes looking for helicopter kits I found a partially complete 1/72 Italeri UH-1D.  Interior is complete and painted, fuselage assembled and top coat of buff uppers, sky lowers for an Israeli AF version, rotor painted and assembled still need to consolidate all the completed components and finish paint job.  Can't remember when I last worked on it but it would have been early 90s or possibly late 80s.

IF I were to re-imagine this aircraft, new exterior paint, perhaps see if I have some bits and bobs I can use for a gunship version for an alt history version, would this be acceptable for this GB?

Volkodav, I dont think there is a problem with this at all. And if its a 1980s/1970s Italeri screamer then big kudos for retaking the plunge.

Go for it.

In theory, I should just finish by the deadline, but it will be a near squeak even if nothing goes wrong. Any chance of that limited extension that was mentioned? A few days would be fine.

I have already given up, my project has been reboxed, the box has been put in a bigger box and that has been put in the store room and any attempt to retrieve it and do anymore work before our soon to arrive house guests leave will likely result in severe sanctions  :(
