Beautiful!  With your permission, I will show these around at work.  I'm not so sure the spinners would be a bright glossy color as I'm thinking that could cause the glare in the pilots' eyes.

Sure! Let me know what they think.

I thought all aviators wore their mandatory-issue sunglasses at all times? I jest, I jest...(don't they?)

How long until Hassy/Italeri release this kit with Marine 1 markings? I'm pretty sure I've seen a couple boxing of Air Force 1 kits, wonder why Marine 1 is neglected?

Hase has released it in "Black Top" HMX-1 markings.  The "White tops" are the aircraft that actually carry the president, though I'm given to understand he has flown on one of their present aircraft when he needed immediate and quick transportation.

That Osprey would be the point of pride in any display case!

Well done, Mr Jello! You replicated that famous Marine One scheme to a T!

This is amazing!! congrats on a long project well done!

I like the white spinners, and It would have never occurred to me to put white there (same with the tailfins) It "makes" it as far as I am concerned. If you are going to do a white top, make it white!

Well, I can tell you that Bell's program manager loved it.  Some of my coworkers who have been involved with the V-22 since its inception opinion that the spinners should be black, based on their experience.  More feedback as I get it.

Thank you everyone for the kind words.  Fortunately, my poor photography skills aid in hiding a multitude of errors on this project.  But I'm glad it's finally ready to move off the bench and into the display.

It's pretty darn cool as well that the people at Bell are getting a kick out of it.

Re:spinner color - I honestly didn't even think about glare when I finalized my scheme.  The white was a definite pain to get to go down nicely, and there are a couple areas that show it.  Black or a flat coat over the same green as the body on the spinners may have been a better way to go.

Have to get one of those sets for the Hasegawa kit.   It will be interesting to see if HMX-1 gets some of the V-22 upgrades that are under serious discussion; they would make for some distinct changes in appearance.
