Battlecruiser HMCS British Columbia

Hi all, new around here.  Normally a Sherman guy, but I do imagine quite a number of what-if projects and occasionally actually build one.  This is one of those, based on a story I wrote following a refereed wargame about the opening weeks of WW1 off the east coast of North America (I'll post the story in the fiction section).  HMcs British Columbia is shown in her fictional WW2 configuration.  She's 1/700 scale, built using a Kongo hull, Hood superstructure and turrets, and Prince of Wales secondary battery.  I plated over the original secondary battery casemates, widened the superstructure, and fitted American mid-war radars as was done for Richelieu.  Enjoy!

Oh my, now that is pretty!  Good job, and welcome!

Could a request for more close ups be entertained?

Welcome aboard Greg!  I had no idea you were fond of anything other than the Sherman tank :)

Very nice match up on the parts with your hull.  It is well balanced and certainly looks like it would be an asset to our Canadian cousins in defending their maritime interests.

Sure...I'll get the photo booth set up tomorrow.  My camera normally takes ~3MB .jpeg files at full resolution; I presume I can't post something that large?  I have several resolution settings to choose from, so I can dial it down for more images.

Hey, I think I know that model, I saw it at the IPMS Vancouver show a couple years ago, no?

IIRC, the backstory was amazingly awesome-sauce!

That's incredibly well done and love the look of a battleship in war paint!

Here are a few more close-up images.  Unfortunately, my camera's settings will only produce files of ~150kb on the lowest setting and ~500kb on the next highest resolution, so I can't get closer to the 375kb file limit.  At full res, the files are about 3MB each and anybody that wants big ones for inspiration can email me any time.  Enjoy!
