Although there are a couple of seperate threads regarding some German projects, a single thread of discussion regarding "Paper Panzers" seems warranted (to me at least).
To kick off, a link to a rather comprehensive site dealing with the E Series. (Auf Deutsch naturlich!).

Missing Lynx member Yau-Hang has "Frankensteined a 1946 vehicle" (http://www.network54.com/Forum/110741/thread/1352519301/Frankensteined+a+1946+vehicle) which in this case was an E-100 Uber Panzer that has a tail gunner position mounted behind the turret.
See more of this by clicking on the html or the image below.

The 3,7 cm FlaK mounted on a platform behind and attached to the turret is an interesting solution to the air threat problem.
-
That's brilliant!
-
The model turned out rather nice and with all of that surface area to work with it looks busy enough.
I think the 3,7 cm Flak could have been better utilized as a coaxial weapon replacing the 7,5 cm KwK next to the main gun.
-
Isn't it a 20mm cannon?
-
Nope, it is a 3,7 cm FlaK (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3.7_cm_Flak_18/36/37/43) mounted behind the turret. As to which version, it looks most likely to be the 3,7 cm Flak 43 model (http://www.lonesentry.com/ordnance/3-7-cm-flak-43-antiaircraft-gun.html).

I was just going by his description.

Yep, definitely a 3.7cm looking at it.

I'm with you Jeff on replacing the 75 mm with the 37 mm as a coaxial weapon, even a 20 mm would be better. The 75 is just too big with too low a rate-of-fire for an effective coaxial gun.
Mind you, I wouldn't want to be the AA gunners, either. That'd be a very nasty place to be on a battlefield with artillery, tanks & aircraft to deal with. :o
Cheers,
Guy. :icon_music:

There is also the VK series of tanks. I have the Trumpeter VK 30.01 in the stash. It comes with the 7.5cm L/24. I plan on adding a longer barrel to mine.
I like the camo on this.

I have to ask: just what is that scheme supposed to camouflage you with?

A very large shrubbery?

Zombie horde cammo - you blend right in.
I actually like it, but its pretty hard to see where it would be practical.

Schizophrenic Splinter Pattern?
Reminds me of the camouflage schemes applied to some of the early tanks in the first world war.

Ha, ha!!! That's about the first thing I thought of as well

Yes, but it didn't matter back then - they were all black and white and shades of grey... ;)
