Tamiya's 1/35 M41 Walker Bulldog is going for about AU$27.50 at the moment.
Hobby Boss' 1/35 LAV-150 Commando AFV w/Cockerill 90mm Gun is priced at about AU$40.50 (which is stupidly high, imo) but is out of stock.
If you're willing to accept the alternate, then the Hobby Boss 1/35 LAV-150 APC 90mm Mecar Gun is a couple of dollars cheaper at AU$38.50 (again, over-priced, imo) & is also out of stock.
This would leave you with a M41 turret to put on a LAV-150.
I would assume that in the US prices would be both lower in raw number & real value.

Hobby Lobby (in the US) is dumping TAMIYA M41 kits for @ $16 after their 40% discount.
Everything else you can kitbash.
@PFJN might be able to burn ya a resin Cadillac Gage style turret.
I already have two M41s in the stash.

Aero-space / Aircraft Restoration

I turned the fuselages on a lathe and made wings from 3/4 stock. I didn't paint them because I was happy with the way the wood grain looked. Years later we tried painting my son's plane but it didn't turn out very well. So I've sanded it down and started a new paint job.
Right now it looks like it was built by John Deere. I may try a different color if I can find something a little more olive colored. This is what I'm going for.
I have actual stickers on order, not decal stickers but actual sticker stickers, for the national insignia. I'm thinking of doing the red markings to give it a little more dash. I really need to avoid Advanced Modelers Syndrome on this so I might be able to have it done in time for his birthday in a couple of weeks.

« Last post by Kerick on Yesterday at 12:24:28 PM »I managed to squirt some paint on this one tonight. The painting went fine except I knocked over the little bottle of thinner twice.
I painted the canopy frame black to match the inside.
Then some Testors light blue darkened with three drops of sea blue.
I bought some fresh silly putty so we'll see what happens tomorrow.
