Mine would have six 7.62 mm machine guns.  Would carry more ammo to kill more zombies.  >:D

How about a dozen 5.56mm miniguns?  Or several dozen .22" LR?

I've always wondered about the practicality of those multi-gun projects. What I've read was those .5's fired at about 1100 rounds a minute, so X6 you're looking at 6600 rounds fired in a minute. How much room is needed to store that amount of ammo? 1 minutes worth of firing doesn't make it very good in my opinion

North American P-51 Mustang: approx. 30 sec of firing time
Guns: 6 × 0.50 caliber (12.7mm) AN/M2 Browning machine guns with 1,840 total rounds (380 rounds for each on the inboard pair, and 270 rounds for each of the outer two pair)
Rate of fire: 750–850 rounds/min (AN/M2)

Hawker Hurricane/Supermarine Spitfire: approx. 18 sec/19 sec of firing time
8 × .303 in Browning Mk II* machine guns (Spitfire - 350 rounds per gun) (Hurricane - inner guns 338 rounds, next gun 324 rounds, outer guns 338 rounds)
Rate of fire: initially 1,100 rounds/min

Given the above, 1 minute of firing time sounds pretty good.

In an aircraft I would agree with you, but this is a tank --- firing during air combat wasn't done at minutes at a time, anti-aircraft was just a continuous stream of firing. you'd need to be able to carry 1/2 hour or more of firing time. You'd just not be able to stuff that much ammo into the turret area.

The  ZSU-23-4 "Shilka" carries 2000 rnds and fires at 3400-4000 rpm. So about half a minute total firing time. Of course this machine is radar guided so it would be easier to fire short bursts and be effective. Plus there would be more than one vehicle so one could be firing while others reload. Multi guns increase the rpm and anything that does that uses up ammo at that rate. Also applies to "gatling" type weapons too.

Same trade off between larger calibers vs smaller calibers. Larger calibers hit harder but its more difficult to carry large amounts of ammo. Same augment has been going on concerning the M-16 for generations now.

Mine would have six 7.62 mm machine guns.  Would carry more ammo to kill more zombies.  >:D

Plus you can't kill a zombie, they're already dead. :o ;D

AFV Club  has announced a M728 Combat Engineer Vehicle is in the works.  This coming kit should be based on their already release M60 tank kits, and should be a real hit.  No release date as of yet, but stay tuned for more details as the become available.

Work in progress ::

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

One comment I read:  "It looks as if AFV Club will be releasing their 1/48 scale F-5 in Iraninan Air Force markings".  ???  Well Doh!  Who's else would they be considering given it only exists in Iran?

I keep to-ing & fro-ing about whether to buy a M60A2 or not.

Anyone know if there's a PE/metal 1/35 GAU-8 barrel set available &, if so, where I can get one? ???

Otherwise, I could always try the 1/32 Fairchild A-10 Thunderbolt II - GAU-8 Avenger Gun Tip from Master Models, which scales out to about 32.8mm (but I'd still have to figure out barrels & a support structure), or I could always drop down to a mere 20mm M-61 Vulcan (for which I already have the barrel set).

I could probably re-purpose a 1/350 ship's search radar &/or scratch build that & an enclosed targeting radar, for acquisition & tracking.

Guy,

Why not go with the T250 six-barrel 37 mm Gatling gun that was part of the T249 Vigilante Air Defense System?  This would be the ideal weapon system for shredding ground targets in 'War Hammer 40K' mode.

(Image source: Reddit.Com > War Thunder > T249 vigilante with an 37mm Gatling gun

The T250 was revisited and chambered in 35mm for the DIVADS program so it has potential.  Personally I would rather see a 57mm chain gun in the M60A2 turret just because.
