There's some irony there Greg, for as I've read It's very odd that Saudi Arabia gave the go-ahead for the development and R&D phase of the EE-T1 at a cost US$100 million.

In August 1989, the Saudi Government announced an order for 318 Osorios (renamed Al Fahd, Lion Of The Desert) worth US$7.2 billion, the contract was never signed by Saudi Arabia.

The fact that the Engesa Osório EE-T1 out performed the original 105mm M1 Abrams [I appreciate the modern 120mm M1A1 is far superior in capability to the original 105mm M1!], when Saudi Arabia conducted a competitive trail of M1 Abrams, Challenger 1, AMX-40 and the Osorio. Even though the Osorio emerged as a winner in September 1989, the decision was taken by the Saudis to instead in secrecy purchase the M1 Abrams, to replace their AMX-30's.

Yeah, I've seen that video before.  One has to remember that decisions on arms acquisitions aren't purely technical in nature.  Re the technical ability of the Engesa Osório EE-T1, the turrets were designed by Vickers who also did that for the Challenger II so not surprising that the performance was high - recommend you watch this one re that to give an appreciation:  https://youtu.be/re-zMIOtSk0

AFAIK, there is no EE-3 Jararaca kit in any scale. Nor is there a 1/35 Urutu ... I'm surprised that Electric Products hasn't done one since it would share plenty of parts with their EE-9.

I'd be very interested in finding more information/drawings/pictures of the Engesa Uruvel - by all accounts a modified EE-11 Urutu that was developed and marketed for a US Army program during the 1980s aimed at creating a multi-purpose, air-portable wheeled armoured vehicle capable of delivering direct fire support as needed. It was a baseline Urutu modified with a large turret ring to accommodate the Cockerill Mk.III 90 mm cannon and EC-90 turret of the EE-9 Cascavel. The Uruvel was first publicly unveiled in 1985; it could seat four infantrymen in addition to a driver and two-man turret crew.

I'm contemplating this Uruvel as a candidate for my Alternative ADF ORBAT

Information on that Uruvel (I've also seen it as Uravel) in the proverbial hen's teeth M.A.D!

One minor correction (based on my Engesa designation list over on Secret Projects), EC-90 (for Engesa Canhão - 90 mm) was the designation of the licensed Cockerill gun built by Engesa subsidiary Engex. The turret - also fitted to some EE-9s, as you noted - was designated ET-90 (for Engesa Torre - 90 mm) turret for the Uruvel (and used on the Mk IV EE-9) was armed with an EC-90  As you suggested, this a (Salvador, Bahia).

How good the Uruvel would be depends upon your assessment of its 'boomerang' rear axle arrangement (shared with the Urutú and Cascavel). Engesa put a lot of effort into refining that double-axle 'boomerang' but it was still an evolution of 1943 M8 Greyhound technology.
