Incom T-65 X-wing "303 Squadron"

Hello!

I'd like to present my fresh-finished model - X-wind from 303 Squadron. This particular fighter took part in slaying destroyer "Vollstrecker" and base-ship "Todesstern"* :) I've used old MPC/ERTL model and decals for 1/32 Spitfire.


















*Translate to german : "Executor" and "Death Star" :)

That's fantastic, and the Polish checkerboards look very appropriate in a sci-fi environment!

Beautiful! We need more Star Wars stuff painted to resemble our galaxy's stuff!  :)

I'm not sure about the destroyer's name, though. "Testamentsvollstrecker" IS a valid translation of "executor", but has a very specific legal connotation, being the "executor of the will". Maybe just using "Vollstrecker" would be better. "Vollstrecker" can be used in a sense of "executioner" or "hangman" ("Henker" or "Scharfrichter" in German). Another translation of "executor" is "Ausführender", in the sense of "a person executing someone's orders". Would sound odd as a destroyer's name, though.

On the other hand, maybe the legal term is appropriate. Vader is a cold-blooded ba**ard, obsessed with power and manipulating others. He HAS to be a lawyer.  ;D

Well , I don't know german :) I've translated names using GOOGLE TRANSLATOR and a few dictionaries. I know that "Testamentsvollstrecker" has a specific sense but any other word sound strange for me for a name of destroyer :) You may be right ,  "Vollstrecker" sounds better for me now :)
