I see one in grey and white flying off a carrier early Vietnam.

Did the Mauler share some lineage with the Skyraider?

I've never seen this aircraft...reminds me of a P-47, AD-1, and smidge of corsair / Avenger wing.

The 3 torpedo load out, flying ASW from HMCS Magnificent in EDSG/DSG.

It was a direct competitor to being part of the same competition that included the Curtiss XBTC, Douglas XBT2D Skyraider and Kaiser-Fleetwings BTK.

Some Maulers were issued to navy or marine reserves as I recall.

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

All these just appeared on the Hannants Future Release page. Lots of 1/48 kits as well. I will leave the posting of those as an exercise for the reader.

No photo yet. But now is the time to prepare the paperwork to mortgage your house:

Oooh, yeah!  :-* Thinking about it, that Sentinel Chicken profile may actually be what spawned the thought in the first place.  ;D

Maverick's Marina Militare version also looks interesting.
