According to the PAK-20 book, a South African company called TC Models has a SR.A1 on their listing. The book says it was announced but as of 2002 (when the PAK-20 was published) it hasn't appeared. It might be a long shot to see if the company is still active.

The book definitely says South Africa Greg, started producing 1/48 models in 1997. The kits that have appeared so far are a Felixstowe F.2A and a Short 184 (1915)

Here's their Felixstowe, but it might be better to note what's written at the bottom of the article

Yeah, suspected that. I actually have one of their Felixstowe F.2As in the stash I believe.

Shin Meiwa, inspired by the success with their PS/US-1, had several commercial amphibian designs on the drawing board offering improved seaworthiness (i.e. the ability to takeoff and land on rough waters) over existing designs, thus promising a degree of serviceability as a seaplane that closely approaches that of land-based aircraft.

SS-X, also known as the Shin Meiwa LA (Light Amphibian), is one of these designs and a "40-passenger light amphibian for inter-island feeder service".

Suggestion requested- where should I put the navigation lights on an amphibian that has its tip floats retracted onto the wingtips inflight (see previous post)?
