The daring post-war airframe drag racing and display team
« on: November 14, 2015, 05:56:29 PM »
featuring: Go Go Gustav, Sir Joustalot & The Grey Nurse.

Yeah - you've seen them before, but now they've been blooded in competition with Go Go Gustav obtaining first place at the Sydney Model Show in the sci fi category ( Yay Gustav..)  but today at the Bayonet Club annual comp they went in as a team and were soundly thrashed by better examples of the fantasy artform. ( not so yay Gustav...  )

I just googled "junk tank rock"...  it seems there's a bit of convergent evolution going on !  I'll have my legal team draw up the appropriate documentation as a precaution !!    ... but seriously..  thanks for that - heaps more inspiration out there.

I must admit that I am seriously tempted to do something such as the Pfalz D.XII shown in the photo.

BTW, speaking of the photo, apparently the D.XII of Lt. Josef Raesch -a 7-victory ace- was destroyed in a British bombing raid on their airfield and Raesch (third from right) and some members of his Jasta 43 thought that it was time for some hilarity...

Excellent display, and whether it won or not, I bet it turned some heads and elicited some chuckles.  8)
