The latest. Still filling seams, but shes looking good. I will mask the cockpit engine covers and gear, then repaint once I get her all closed up.

The Mk2 is the Moebius 1/32 kit

The Mk1 is the Revell re pop also in 1/32.

I am looking forward to the new Moebius Mk1 with the TOS landing gear so I can park these planes next to each other.

I was gonna use a larger base, but this is just right and wont take up too much room on the contest table.

I've got to agree. The base is ideal to set off that Viper!

And at some point they will be mashed together to make a MK1.2

I have 2 MK1s, and with the new Moebius kit coming out soon theres all kinds of possibilities.

Try as I might, that seam across the nose is giving me trouble...so I scribe a trench along the seam line, inserted some sign plastic with tenax, let that dry over night, then trimmed the excess. Now I need to sand it flush to the hull and the seam should be gone after a couple prime/sand sessions.

Slow going on this and the MK1 but we have a local model show coming up and I'd really like to finish them

Starting the decals. I lost two squares on the right side, I am going to try and cut down the stripe decals on the moebius sheet to replace the missing ones. Also this post is covering the Moebius and Revell kit builds so the will be differences between the 2 k1s

More work on the Viper MK1. Decals are on, weathering has started and the wings are installed. Still gotta decal and weather the wings and mask and paint the canopy.

Thanks. Two of the square decals on the left side shattered, and I thought of using soem from the revel kit to replace the markings, but the colors dont match. I may just leave them off and add some heavy weathering in that area.

Almost there. A little more weathering, some touch up on the panel lines and a clear coat and shes done. The canopy doesnt quite match the rest of the ship, but I am okay with it. I dont want to re mask and cut the tape and repaint.
