Arkmodel
. Never heard of this company before tonight. HyperScale [Missing-Lynx] has a kit review of the
Arkmodel 1:48th scale (yes, you read that right, 1:48th scale) WW2 Type VIIC Submarine (kit number 7602K)
. As if the Revell 1:72nd scale U-Boot was not large enough, Arkmodel has upped the ante with this one. Go large or stay on the porch...
Link to the product at Arkmodel:
Germany Type VIIC Submarine (C7602K)
There are a number of other ship models available on the Arkmodel webpage that might interest some of you. The
German Type 143 in 1:72nd scale
for instance looks very enticing.

Obviously they are into the R/C field. These aren't really display models, unless your idea of display is running them on the nearest pond. :)

Yeah, I know. Still, it's likely the only kit that will be made of the CB-1 class. If they hadn't been so expensive to keep around, I wonder what they would've mod'd into over time as new technologies developed?

Damn you Jeff!!!!
Again, blaming the messenger. :)
That
1:32nd scale Vosper Thornycroft Perkasa
kit is looking pretty good for what looks like a scaled up version of the 1:72nd scale Tamiya kit.

I agree - the Beiyang fleet ships are cool and well represented in 1/350 by Bronco and one in 1/700 by S-Model. Since they were German designs, they have plenty of turn of the century whif potential.
