I really like where you're going with the gliders, mon ami!

I find your latest twins to be wonderful and very pleasing to the eye!

And the last useless Lightning prototypes on the poor Midway island were the F38L7, 8, 9:
There was also the famous F38L10 sesquiplane, specially designed for carriers but refused and landed on the island:

The F38L11 and F38L12 completed the set on Midway island:

It's hard for me to pick a favorite between your F38L11 and F38L12, but the first one is making me think about single-engine P-38 derivatives. Your imagination never fails to impress and delight me!

Tardivement un très heureux anniversaire, mon ami!

Thanks a lot for your approval, and for the cheers concerning my birthday (I have turned 51 y.o. and that could deserve a special P-51 from North American Co...)

Close to the P38L11 were the prototypes P51N1 and P51N2, aboard the USS Yorktown carrier, while they made no harm to the enemy with their MTBF (medium time between failure) of 1 minute and a half (due to driving gear problems)...:

The Zwilling Co. P51Z1, Z2 and Z3 were also aboard the USS Yorktown, but impossible to take off, with a MTBF of 10 to 17 seconds:

On the Yorktown sailing near the Midway island, there happened a battle of ideas to improve the P51N1/2 (and propose P51N3 and N4 improved derivatives, with shortened distance between nose radial engine and rear propeller). This is maybe the reason why this week is called "the battle of Midway"...

I'm especially fond of your P-51 variants here, Tophe!

Looks like Dornier had some kind of info exchange with North American.

Thanks a lot to both of you!

Uh? You seem to refer to the Dornier Do-335 push-pull and the related P51N5 and N6, also designed at short distance of the Midway island, during the same week/battle:
