1/72 Douglas PBD-1W and Boston AEW.1

As Litvyak so succinctly stated, another project started ....

Here is a Revell (MPM) A-20J Havoc converted to a PBD-1W Havoc Hunter or a  Boston AEW.1. The APS-20 radar is from an IOM AF-2 kit. The fit was unbelievably easy. I just Dremel tool cut along the existing panel lines, trimmed the APS-20 dome back a bit, bit-o-sanding to match the contour and bobs your radar.  The small vertical stabs were modeled from those on the AF-2. I will plug the upper turret.  I will need taller landing gear. The mark 1 eye ball says B-25 gear should give me the extra ground clearance.

I highly recommend the IOM AF-2 kit as it come with the pieces to build both the AF-2S and -2W.

Work in progress ::

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.
