All sorts of whiffy possibilities for other fire-fighting conversions, and they don't look too difficult either: basically a box on top instead of the turret.
Basically, they have one or two fire monitors (water cannon). a big tank for water/chemicals and some sprinklers for self-protection. A dozer blade is optional.
Outside of the fUSSR/WarPac, they haven't been too successful. They tend to be expensive in fuel and spares to operate. Which is a common problem for many military vehicles adapted to civilian use.
I know in the US several M60s have got a second lease on life as anti-Avalanche vehicles (firing HE rounds to set off the Avalanches in the US mountains). They used to use 105/106mm RCLs but they were too expensive in propellant and the ammunition was running out, so they changed to the MBTs, which had the advantage of being self-propelled and heated.
