Fil Scale seems to be Trumps Go-To club for test shots. You can see some other good previews on their site.

What a time to like Modern Russian kit! The GAZ Vodnik would make a great base of a WWZ Bug Out Vehicle...

No kidding; the Vodnik is a surprise, but since there are two versions of the GAZ Tiger out, it's to be expected.

I see that they're coming out with several GAZ-66 variants as well. It figures... I'm half way done with my Eastern Express kit. I think most modern Russian trucks are now well represented in modern plastic (although the Eastern Express GAZ-66 and the ICM Ural 4320 build up nicely).

Liking the TOS-1 and the SA-8.

Would love to see a BM-27 Uragan or BM-30 Smerch instead of two separate BM-21s.

Thomas Hofmann has taken the time to share with us a first look at the kit contents for the Trumpeter 1:35th scale M1083 FMTV (5 ton) with armored cab (kit number 01008) at modellversium.de.

Considering the current spat between Beijing and Canberra, perhaps Trumpeter is building recognition models for the PLA?    ;)

I'll be getting one or two, anyways.

I'm just toying with the idea of buying the Falcon F-106B vacform conversion: do you think I should take one for the team and definately buy it now to make sure that Trumpy bring out a 1/72nd injection one before I get a chance to use it...... ;)

You could always get the Falcon conversion and try to adapt it to the F-102 just to be different.  That way you are covered if the Trumpeter project is scaled down to 1:72nd for consumption and you get to make a very nice two seater TF-102/F-102B that looks nothing like the real thing :)

You realise for that curse to work, you must actually build it, spending massive amounts of time and effort on it?  ;D ;D

And it's got to look SO good that anyone viewing it will say 'Oh great, you got the new Trumpeter kit. how does it go together?' and then you must stop yourself from decking them. For a short while anyway.....  ;)

Thanks for your support.... ;)

The chance of it being built soon is relatively slight however. What I really want is the TF-9J Cougar conversion, but it comes in a threefer with the F-106B and a Mirage IIIB for £15.00. The latter doesn't interest me, so the F-106B (for which my affection is genuine) is basically the excuse not to waste 2/3 of the set.

I could see the F-106B as an operational RAF one. All the RAF's Darts would be -Bs, RAF doctine favouring semi-autonomous two-seaters and the UK government being unable to afford the kind of sophisticated ground envionment on which the F-106A depended.
