Eduard Model Accessories
« on: August 04, 2012, 05:31:07 PM »
Hey folks:

Looks like Eduard is set to grace us with a new 1/72 MiG-15 kit:

http://www.eduard.com/blog/mig-15-172-first-sprues-photos/

I'm quite looking forward to this as my Hobbyboss MiG-15 that I was basing an East Austrian Whiff on met with an unfortunate end a bit earlier this year.

I'm really quite optimistic that we will finally get a MiG-15 in the scale that is really spot on all around. With as many MiG-15s as there are in Czech air museums, Eduard has no excuse for not getting it right.

That kit has been on Eduards new kit list for at least 4/5 years. Hopefully with the sprue shots it will soon hit the shelves

According to a chat I had today with the guy that runs one of the local shops, the kit is ready to go and Eduard will be using E Day late next month to launch the kit.

At that, I would imagine that shops will start stocking it in October sometime.

Thanks for keeping us updated on this one!

Man those sprue shots are tasty! Did anyone else notice the nice, tight fit of that canopy?

That's been in Eduard's release schedule for about 5 years. Glad it might eventually see the light of day

Eduard Model Accessories

I recently acquired the civilian version and yes, it has spats!!!  :-* :-* :-*

Eduard's molding is very nicely done and I'm looking forward to building it!

If anyone here gets the military version, I hope they'll whiff it and post pics so we can compare notes. It looks like it will be a nice build, OOB.

If there are more Czech's like her around (& I'm pretty sure there are), I'd be rather tempted to sneak off to my father's former home land for a dirty weekend!

Biplanes aren't usually my thing, but for some strange reason, I just love the Avia B-534.  :-*

Probably because it looks like it's only half a step away from being a monoplane.

Which, if I bought one, is exactly what would happen to it! :D

GTX and other mods, apologies - I couldn't find a thread for these guys.

I know we're probably all pretty happy with the 1/72 Spitfires we have....but over at What If The Wooksta! has shared a link showcasing Eduard's new Spitfire Mk.IXc.

It's gorgeous. Tons of options (which also means spares), beautiful detail - for crying out loud, it even has PE latches for the canopy and door. I'm stunned, staggered...I'M TRYING TO GET OUT OF 1/72!!!

Not to worry Zac, I found it and merged your topic with the original thread created by Kevin (UpNorth) five years ago. :)
