The Goanna looks nice (lots better than some other bomber conversions of the DC-3).  I think that the tri-moter, though, will need an extention to the fuselage aft of the wing for weight and balance and stability & control concerns.  Still, very aesthetically appealing aircraft.

Maybe -- the major re-design of the Mk.II version has fixed that tho - along with other short-comings -- & a better cam scheme sure has made it look the "right stuff". >:D >:D

:-* The twin-fin DC-3 and the glazed-nose DC-3 are very pleasant. Were they never built with different colours than yours?

thanks Tophe,
the Ruskis were too busy churning 'em out to worry much about cam during the war -- maybe later Aeroflot might get a few  >:D

Keep watching ....

Enjoying all your DC-3 variants.  Very creative and kit-bashable.  Thanks for posting.

Yes, very 'bashable'. Is that a manned tail gun position on the Goanna Mk.II?

Wouldnt have surprised me if the Goanna had been built considering what the Wirraway and Boomerang started from

Sure looks sleek with those Merlins! A "pointy-nosed" version powered by Merlins would be speed personified.

The Merlin DC-3 almost makes it worth the money to buy Tamiya's updated Lancaster because it has extra Merlin nacelles in it yes?

But then, once built up well, should be used as an Flying Billboard for Knob Creek Bourbon much like Red Bull is doing these days.
