M.52 update, well the prototype builds are done and the good news is that all three scales work.
There is a few adjustments and tweaks to be made, both in design and in how the parts are supported for printing.
The 3 scales are 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32. Each kit irrespective of scale will consist of about 27 parts, that includes a clear cast resin canopy.
I will also include a spare for the pitot, the control column and there will be the option for a seat with or without belts, and an instrument panel with or without printed detail. Decals and canopy mask to be included.
The next update will confirm the prices, I need to do a few more calculations to get to the final prices which I hope you will find favourable.
I shall also share a few more close up screen shots on details and assembly of the parts.
The drive and concept behind this project is to provide an accurate model (with some modellers licence) of a rather cool aircraft in thee scales, that will be easy to assemble and complete for most modellers.
It is a huge pity it did not fly, or be the first to break the sound barrier, but it is iconic shape that lives on, now in three popular scales by Aerocraft Models.
The first picture is the 1/48 scale kit aside a taped up Bell X-1 in the same scale, to show comparative size.
