I think the Magister would be a great platform as a UAV.

It had some glider pedigree via the Fouga CM.8, so I imagine pulling the cockpit out and replacing it with sensor gear or cameras and giving it longer wings would not be difficult.

Without a crew to worry about, it could be flown higher and perhaps some usable endurance could be had from the engines.
