The next 'lamb to the slaughter'!
« on: February 10, 2023, 01:49:37 AM »
Comes with decals for British and Jordanian examples, but ya just gots ta know that I ain't going with either one! 'twill be civilian, British, rather colourful, and I will try to make my own decals. They certainly aren't going to be available for what I have in mind. And I might just hold you all in suspense until it becomes clear to discerning eyes. First one to guess gets my enduring admiration. Stay tuned...

A tour helicopter flying people past the white cliffs of Dover. In the summertime. With coats on.

Are you going to make it a "convertible" like this Bell-47D?

Nah, glazing will go back on. But with the doors removed it looks like that.

Crop dusting or aerial overland cartage and transport of illicit items?

Well, Scooter over on the What If board has figured it out, and therefore has my enduring admiration!

The Royal National Lifeboat Institute will be gifted a Westland Scout, resplendant in orange and blue!
Inflatable floats will be added, like used on the Bell 47. It will keep the military arrangement of the pilot
on the starboard side, with the port side left clear for a rescuer and some equipment; fire extinguisher,
searchlight, first aid kit, etc.

Excellent idea!  Looking forward to see how this turns out.
