OK, you've all met the Motorcycle of the Apocalypse;

If you haven't, look here: https://beyondthesprues.com/Forum/index.php?topic=9916.0

Well, I've started the diorama that it will be displayed on. Work is still in progress & is moving along steadily, if not rapidly.

Here are the "protagonists" of the scene:

Slightly blurry, but you get the idea.

Next is the base:

I'm in the process of "busying it up" & this photo is actually one I took so I could reference it when I go to put these pieces back onto the base.

Anyway, I'm building again, & that is a good thing!

Nice job on the base. The Tamiya bottles could pass for concrete barriers or variants of a Hesco barrier.

The base is looking excellent indeed. Really like the rifle woman, too.

Thank you, gentlemen! :icon_alabanza:

The base is, so far, just me splashing paint, pigment & washes over a Vallejo "Rubble street section" (SC002) Scenics Diorama Base.

Doc, the woman (I think she looks more like she's in her mid to late teens ;)) is an Armor35 (out of Russia) "Fantasy model after the disaster: Girl (stalker)" (ARM35909) figure. She comes with a Kalashnikov in her hands but I swapped that out for a Live Resin (again, Russian) M1014 (Benelli M4 Super 90) Tactical Shotgun, as I did for her very Soviet looking backpack.

(PS: I, also, filled in the exposed breasts; she was wearing a top that was better suited for night clubbing with the intention of hooking up for a one-nighter than surviving the post-apocalyptic wastes.)

It’s the fault of the makers of the woman figure but anyone with a back pack on like that would be leaning forward at the waist quite a bit. I don’t know how a person would fix that without chopping up the figure. Everything else is outstanding!

Simple, straightforward and elegant. (And the young lady is almost certainly wearing a Yo Kinetics and Industrials exoskeleton. Light weight and form fitting. harumph.)

Guy, that is direct to the point and tells the story around the stand off and who is to trust.

I like it a lot

Thanks, gent's! :icon_alabanza:

I've had a few title suggestions & I'm tossing up between "Encounter", "Chance Meeting", "Ahmm ... Hi!?" or "Ahmm ... Hi!? ; Encounter in the Ruins/Rubble" ???

Any suggestions welcome!

@Kerick: Yep, I agree, she is standing too straight but I'm passing that off as whatever is in her rucksack is bulky but isn't that heavy. If I'd thought about it, I could have twisted her right foot out to a greater angle & turned her torso slightly to the left, which would have meant she could stand straighter with a heavier load ... but I didn't, so she isn't. ;)

Love this  :-*  Plenty of detail but all very restrained and believable

By the way, has anyone noticed the rats? ???

Rats, plural? I spotted one to the right of the rider - a very sensible rodent who is keeping his head down.

Is that his less wary cousin popping up out of the sack? If so, this is the post-Apocalypse my furry friend, where "Ratatouille is rich and flavorful."

There are 3 in total (& that's a burst pipe, not a sack, btw. ;) )

Really great job on the figures and base. I thought they were drop bears/koalas. Definitely big rats!

This looks like a post apocalyptic version of ""We've Been TRYING To Reach You About Your vehicle's Extended Warranty"

The rats are sort of not-too-difficult-to-find Easter Eggs, something to get people to look at the base as well as the figures. ;)

Diorama hits sweet spot between sparse and too much clutter.   Fine mix of debris and critters and weathering.   Would not thought of tire, it works.

@Robomog: "A question of trust" sounds OK as a subtitle*, while "Stand-off" doesn't really work because the biker is at a distinct disadvantage in this scene. The other two ??? ... Nah!

For me the detail touch I really like is the very finely tied sheepshank (or very close approximation) on the gear tie down on the biker.

Any of the more subtle titles work, being about who to trust though is what this is about for my penneth worth.
