Getting to the painting stage-I added some 'claws' and a mine detection rig to the legs. The smoke/chaff launcher in the background will get attached in the final stages.

Needs some refinement, but it'll get there.

Umm, you meant to say "steathily low-profile Dachshund", right?  Words like 'short', 'kurz', 'wee', etc. are never to be voiced around Dackels! They are very sensitive about any stature-related terms ...  ;)

(For our American friends a reminder: National Dachshund Day is 21 June ... chosen because it is the loooongest day of the year  :D )

Thanks for the kind words, colleagues! Being compared to anything from the pen of Jean Giraud is high praise indeed.
Funny thing-when I first started this build, I was going to repurpose the original legs from the donor figures as the legs, getting as far
as installing ball joints. When I compared the length of the 'body' to the legs, it did look more like a dachshund... ;D

I've turned the heater on in the workshop, and should be adding the decals here in a bit.

Why do those SF3D - (Machinenkreiger for the new guys) - things always looks best in that shade of brown (Humbrol 84)? :D

Well, it used to be either Australian Desert tan, or some variety of Panzer-ish Grey, but I have seen a bit more variety in the color pallette in recent years. These are from the recent Old Dominion Open show in Richmond Virginia.
