not a whif ? ... I'm sure they actually built a few of those.  I am thinking of a Matilda SP with bigger superstructure & gun tho >:D

I think you'll find it is a whif.  The early Soviet T-34 guns were the L-11 & F-34.  The Soviets did experiment with different weapons on the Matilda in the shape of the F-96.
