As I had delayed my stopping modeling, I bought 2 more kits: Heller 1/144 Mirage 2000 (-5F) and F-16 (XL). There are so small, cute! (I built in the past 1/72 Mirage 3&5&2000&F1, 1/72 F-16XL, 1/48 YF-16)…
I plan of course to build a double little asymmetric plane, I didn’t know how.
(My digital camera has not comen back yet, this poor picture comes from my scanner, sorry)

It was more clear with my simplified way of getting simple parts (removing undercarriage and weapons)

Then I have decided this will be a Mistel-like twin airplane, with the “big” F-16XL below, fin-less, and the smaller Mirage above, a second fin (from the F-16) being on the port wing asymmetrically for balance (shht, I tell you a secret: in fact it is just for fun)… The F-16 part is of course a glider, no need of jet engine. Pictures soon, I hope, but I don’t know how with the scanner…

Here it is, almost visible. 2 fins asymetrically for the 2000 part, support between planes (on the F-16 back) as 2 tanks one above the other (and with the rear: forward)...

In these surprising "kits for kids" are included paint (4 colours per kit, water-based with no need of white-spirit), paint brush, glue. Yesterday evening, I put paint on the upper surfaces, this early morning on the lower surfaces. This creation, that was started yesterday, may be finished tomorrow, without a single drop of puty... Just childish fun, I like it.

This water-based paint is drying incredibly fast! My model is finished, less than 16 hours after the start!
(well, the glue may be less fast, and I don't try yet to put it upside down on the scanner, but I will try to show you tomorrow)
-
Well, I scanned it, less than 20 hours after the start.

I promess I will show better views but maybe in more than 1 month, in February.

Wow that's beautiful! It's a real treat to see the "Classic Tophe Black Canopy" again!
