I made an enlarged-engined "Bison" a long time ago:

But was never very satisfied with it. It looked imbalanced, with too much forward. I "Phoenixed" it recently, adding a P-47 rear fuselage and tail, wingtips, enlarged tailplanes, and moved the cockpit slightly forward. I also tried out an "innovative" camo scheme, though keeping with the NEIAF markings:

The result is a more "balanced" plane, with dimensional and power upgrades.
........................
But, my thoughts turn to a simple "paint/markings" Buffalo whif---maybe the Philippines gets some Finnish-style Buffaloes (B-239) to augment their P-26 "Peashooters" and the red-white, and blue diamonds appear on their wings!

funny cam .... come on, admit it ! - you were playing with your model in the bath while blowing soap bubbles ;D
I have a Tamiya Buffalo that I want to make into a Soviet one - just need to find a 48th P-40B nose at a good price.

The "combat evolved" Brewster Buffalo :)
Looks great with the fuselage stretch.

Kit bash the Buffalo with the Il-2 Sturmovik ?

I did a retouch of the Brewster SB2A as a single-seat Buccaneer fighter.

Craig's "bubble" cammo is surprisingly effective for it's intended theatre (Bali), as I demonstrated with these quick'n'dirties. From a distance against a plain sea/sky background, they fade into a blended bluey-green, whilst against a complex background, they break the silloutte up like dazzle cammo.

Gosh !! -- quick ! notify the US & Oz to repaint all their aircraft in this scheme ! :o !

apophenia-nice job on the Buccaneer "fighter"--was that merely 2D photoshopping, or did you do a styrene 3D version?
When I looked at the Buccaneer for single-seat fighter possibilities, I was struck by how LARGE a plane the Buccaneer is compared to the Buffalo. Kinda like comparing the Grumman Wildcat to the Avenger (not the Hellcat). I was going to "section" the Buccaneer, etc., but "found my thrill" in a more simpler "conversion". (PS---the parts-donor Buccaneer will live again as part of an upcoming Soviet carrier torpedo-bomber).
Since Brewster ended up doing "Corsairs" to stay in business, might we see some cranked wings on a "Buccaneer-ish" fuselage?? ;)
>Gosh !! -- quick ! notify the US & Oz to repaint all their aircraft in this scheme !<
Maybe rather than call it a "bubblebath" scheme, I should refer to it as the "Lawrence Welk" scheme ("Somebody turn off the bubble machine!!"--from Stan Freberg's parody on the show)!!

Twin engine will be spectacular with R3350's !

It would almost take off vertically!!!

Strictly a 2D 'Shop, sequoiaranger. And a comparatively simple job. As for a plastic version, I can't even imagine the PSR punishment being invited :o
