It looks fantastic! I hope I understood that properly. Two models in one box! I wonder what the price is?

Indeed:  two complete 1/48 F4U models, that is, one F4U-1A and one F4U-2. So a 2-in-1 kit.

Features of the kit:

1. Wings can be built to fold and unfold positions.

2. Overall detailed rivets and lines in skin replicated.

3. Accurate engine appearance and external details replicated.

4.  Instrument panel parts without details for modelers to use aftermarket 3D decals easily.

5. Optional positions for separated rudder control surface, flaps and ailerons.

6.  Exhaust pipes goes with different engine models included.

9.  Bomb bay can be built open, with gun and belt provided for your preference.

10. Rich details of landing gear and wheel well.

11. Finely printed decals included for 4 painting schemes

12. Fine PE included.

9.  Bomb bay can be built open, with gun and belt provided for your preference.

I'm hoping, given the wording here, they're talking about a/the "gun bay/s", not a "bomb bay".

Missed the weapons sets & the Iron Dome earlier. They look very tempting! 8)

But, if the Iron Dome costs anything like the various Patriot systems, that will be staying on the store shelves for someone else to buy. ::)

I’m pretty sure they mean gun bays but the Corsair did have bomb bays in the wings for anti aircraft bombs, meant to be drop on enemy aircraft formations. Such was a theory back in the 30s that didn’t last long once the war started. The wings on the Corsair barely changed over the years so IIRC the bomb bays were always there.

1/700 Aircraft Carrier CVN78 USS Gerald R.Ford

The kit offers the option to assemble the ship with either a full hull or a waterline configuration and includes F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet, F-35C Lightning II and MQ-25 "Stingray" aircraft.

Nice, wondered when a CVN78 would show up.   Next is the 1/350 kit to build as 1/700 for a length of 2209 feet.   Hopefully has waterline option as well so don't have to cut hull like did with Mega-carrier and would be about 100 feet longer.

http://beyondthesprues.com/Forum/index.php?topic=8408.0 (http://beyondthesprues.com/Forum/index.php?topic=8408.0)

BTW -- notice all catapults are same length.   Unlike CV67/Mega-carrier with one longer catapult on port side which can launch loaded B-29s.   Deleted the shorter port catapult.

A C-17 is so big that an MRZR is often needed to shuttle the crew from the ramp to the cockpit.
Where can we get a 1/35 C-17?

Anyone know if DND ever applied its own designation to the Polaris MRZR-D? Or did the 36 x MRZR-D remain undesignation trial vehicles?

BTW, that C16 translated from Canuckian is the Heckler & Koch GMG (aka CASW, Close Area Suppression Weapon).

If Canada procured that Polaris rocket-armed variant, the weapons fit would be C9A1 (for M240B Minimi) and CVR7-PG (for 70mm laser-guided rockets).

I wonder when it was changed from Company Area SW to Close Area? When I first heard about it in 2002-ish, it was definitely Company.

Graeme: The CASW acronym changed early in 2008 when plans shifted away from issuing these AGLs at the Company level. So, I guess NDHQ decided to keep the acronym while changing the name. And 'Close' was close enough ... sorry  :P

They are not leaning into the weapon and the weapons are not perfectly seated in their shoulders.  Typical new recruit failings.

I have a feeling some of the 3D-printed figures suffer from a kind of 'action figure syndrome'. As in limited number of points of articulation leading to unnatural poses. Bodies and clothes are flexible and squishy to a degree that simple modular 3D model bodies can't accommodate. And while you can model wonderfully detailed gear and clothes, when the underlying anatomical model is off, the whole figure will look off.
