Dear Model Company, I would like you to release a kit of...
« on: December 18, 2011, 04:41:38 AM »
Hi folks,

What kits would you like companies to release?

To start with, I would like a 1/48 Ju288 + a 1/48 Tu-2.

What would you like to see?

Regards,

Greg

I would also like someone to release a 1/35 conversion for some of the 140mmm tank prototypes:

I would like then to be able to use this to upgun some tanks such as the M1 and Challenger.

Regards,

Greg

Not sure if it is mentioned in any kit review but the HobbyBoss Leopard 2A6 includes two muzzle end pieces for the gun tube.  One of these parts is noticeably larger in diameter than the other but both are still intended to fit on the end of the gun tube.  No idea why it was included in the kit but it is there and not used.  I was under the impression the part might be for a yet to be released variant of the Leopard 2 sometime in the future armed with a 140mm gun.

Another to the list:  1/48 Mil Mi-8/17.

I can get one in 1/35 but prefer my aircraft in 1/48.

For me, it'd be more exotic 72nd aircraft weapon sets or 35th scale firearm sets in injection plastic.

There's a vast array of M16/M4 variants out there, for instance, but precious little difference in available weapons.  (Dragon are you listening? - their Quartermaster series are superb).

In a related vein, some modern troopies (also in 35th) other than US. (eg: ADF, Finnish, etc).

American tanks.
T28
T29
T30

British tanks
TOG 1- A 17lbr tank with a rhomboid suspension. It would be a great what if tank for the Blitzkrieg days.

T17 Autocar cargo halftrack.

How could I forget this one?

How long must we wait to get a 1/48 Su-32/Su-34?  Even a conversion kit would be welcomed!  At this rate I might end up making my own master /moulds...

Alvis 3.1

That'd rock. Ideally with decal options for TCAL, Northeast and/or TWA (whichever one Hughes owned at the time? I seem to recall reading he wanted the Jetliner...)

In 1/72: McDonnell Douglas YC-15, DHC-5D Buffalo, The 4 engine NASA-Boeing QSRA, DHC-7R Ranger, Turbo Beaver, a reboot of the Avro Arrow (and derivatives) and CF-100 by Trumpeter or Hobby Boss.

A nice selection of pylons and hard points for the things that go under the wings.

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

I want Revell to release a 1/144 F-16 with all the bells and whistles. After their 1/144 F-14A/B/D, F-15E, F/A-18C/D and F/A-18E (with F and G almost certainly in the making), an F-16 would round out the series rather nicely.  Just 10 days left until the news for 2012 are announced on modellversium.de but I'm not exactly holding my breath just yet.

And I want Revell to do a 1/72 F-15E. After Fujimi effed up their chance (is actually a 1/67 snap kit), Revell should give it a go.

And a proper 1/72 Su-25 and MiG-29 by Zvezda would also be very nice.  :D

An injection molded AMX in 1/72nd or 1/48th! :want:

Then tell them! HERE'S Italeri's survey for 2012! With any luck and if enough of us do it, they might just listen and get a kit out before the type's retired.

What's that in the upper left of the picture? Some M48/M60 upgrade? At first I though it's the Super M48 upgrade, but it's not.
Cheers,

Right - that is the B-15.
Modernize with at least B-29 or B-50 engines and gun turrets.
Maybe turn it into an ALCM launch platform.

In a town called Poulsbo which is located a few miles north of where I live is a tourist focused gift shop that has some interesting things.  One of which is a metal 1/48th scale model Boeing 314 with a huge price tag affixed to it.  While it would be tempting to acquire the model, I can not justify paying that much money for a model airplane.
