Title: 1/72 A-10N Naval Variant
Post by: Starbuck on June 14, 2020, 02:39:00 AM
I modified an Academy A-10 for Naval Use.  Changes include:
Tail Hook
Refueling probe
Ejection seat
Folding wings
Nose gear

How did you do the wing folds?

I have wanted to do this with an A-10, mark it for USMC service.

I have wanted to do this with an A-10, mark it for USMC service.

I just used an X-Acto knife to carefully seperate them between control surfaces, then added bits and pieces from my leftovers bin to make the wing interiors.  I used the A-6 folding mechanisms as a rough guide

Wing folds look fine and are attention getter.   Whole A-10N appears zactly right as USN.  8)

That is a very cool conversion. I like the wing fold, looks right.
