To begin with, what about a float plane fighter version - perhaps of the P.24 for Greece to use amongst their islands?  Or perhaps a version of the P.7 or P.11 with floats in Polish service?

What about an inline engined version of the P.11, perhaps using something such as the Hispano-Suiza 12Y?

Hmmm ... might have to try that when time permits.

Meanwhile, I love how the wing gull sections of Puławski's prototype matched its Hispano's cylinder bank angles

P-24 with a ccanopy (possibly a bubble canopy) and retractible landing gear like that of the Wildcat?  As an alternate retractible landing gear, have a stub wing the gear retracts into with the struts ending at the outboard ends of the stub wings rather than at the fuselage.

The P.24H would have been an interesting development.  This was to be powered with a Gnome-Rhône 14N-21 engine of 1,100 hp and carry four cannon or two cannon and two machine guns.  None were completed though.

*cough* PZL P.8 *cough*

Nice find and close to what I was thinking.  I suppose the main difference was that I am thinking of a 800 - 950 hp Hispano-Suiza 12Y rather than the 640 hp Hispano-Suiza 12Mc or 760 hpLorraine 12Hfrs Pétrel Chasse or even later proposed P.10 with 580 hp Rolls-Royce Kestrel.
