Zen and the art of sticking a cherry blossom tree on a turret.
« on: September 11, 2016, 08:16:54 PM »
Every year I am issued a challenge by a modelling friend's better half to build something according to her whimsy - last year it was that mecha elephant, the year before it was the golden racing car made from two F104s..  this year her challenge took the form of handing me a large Billings boat saying "build this"....
Coincidentally I was issued a separate request/challenge to build a Fujimi Kinkaku-Ji temple...
So, killing two cranes with one Zen garden pebble I present something of a preview :

The Super Zen Flying Ship Car Tank with devotional bridge, carp pond and garden.

and here it is today scoring some gongs at the Northern Area Modellers annual comp

Wow is that every a wonder to behold!

At first glance, I thought I saw Hello Kitty on the forward turret.

Looks like it covers all the bases and then some...
