It looks like a Darlek on steroids! I reckon you should show that to the Dr Who show creators as an example of how to modernise them :)
Seriously though, I really like that. What's the main body sourced from?
2 Reasons why a model is better than a wife:
1) A model doesn't get jealous when you look at another model
2) A model doesn't yell at you for spending money on another model

The body is the top half of an old Spaceship model that had all kinds of landing legs coming out of the bottom. I think it was from Revell Germany.

Good looking hovertank! It really does look like a Dalek on steroids. The original kit was known for it's generally poor fit.

Yep, that's the one, and yes it was a terrible fit.
And here I was worried everyone would think it looks like a flying saucer. ::)

Yeah baby...
A favourite book.

Not seen that version of the cover, but heavy man.. heavy.
The Slammers have been the inspiration for a few builds over the years.

Love this

I assume this is the book cover you were using as the basis:

Really needs to be posed next to a same-scale M-41 in US Vietnam markings since David Drake has stated that his experiences with armor in that conflict were part of his inspiration for Hammer's Slammers.  If you read carefully, you'll find that he has some other novels set in that universe that are re-tellings of The Odyessey and The Golden Fleece and the sf translation of both was quite enjoyable.

wow !  :) :) ... OK, now what are you going to do with the other half of the kit ?

These kits seem to go for hundreds of $$$$ on US ebay but I see they are quite cheap on the German site.
