Thinking outside the perverbial box.  Gotta blimp kit and checking it to become a hydrafoil blimp.  Wierd, though it might work.   :-\

That's the spirit Fin!  Think outside the box guys, please.  I want to see a lot of entries so get those light bulbs energized, or else!!!  >:(

I'll get the rules and inspiration threads going soon.  Remember, don't start touching plastic until March 1!!!  Design work and acquisitions are fine in the meantime.

Unless someone else wants to help me mod and they have objections the following are tentatively in effect:

Since we're not going to have a seaplane build I'll open this build to them as well.

All ships, boats, rafts, subs, flying boats, float planes, etc...  Sci-fi is OK as well as long as its one of the aforementioned vehicles.

Feel free to pitch me any idea(s) you have that you think may not fit.  Make your case and I'll more than likely allow it.

More to follow later.  As I said, get those light bulbs energized!!!!  Don't make me sic Greg and his "ways" on you  :o

I might do another Shipbucket graphbash then.  And, knowing the abominations I created in the past, one can probably expect something with both planes and some ordnance that blows big on it......

I need to build some floaty things for our Biggles theme, and HMS Warspite figured in the 1940 Norway campaign.....so I'll be doing one of those.
It WILL have differences from the more normal Warspite though, and luckily, I have several in stock.

I plan on participating in this one.  If things go well, you may even see multiple entries from me.

Thanks,

Logan

Getting the inspiration thread started a week or two ahead of the GBs seems like a brilliant idea to me.  :) Gets the creative juices flowing and allows for some time for kits to be organized (if necessary).

I thought I had weirdness cornered putting foils on the Monitor...this sounds like a wonder.

So anything that weighs less than a witch is ok, then?

Well, they are both big kits.  The Wasp is truly daunting I must admit.  Besides, the two options I have planned will each take quite a bit of work.

The Kirov mod isn't small either - try "stealthifying" (yes, I am declaring that a legitimate word ;D) something that big.

In the Japan-only release of the film, the final frames show Marco flying his Savoia with yet another Fio modification: a turboprop.   He passes a Caravelle jetliner.   :D Everywhere else, the scene was edited out.   :icon_nif:

I took a peek into the crystal ball today and it looked like a "jet powered WIG torpedo bomber" will be on my agenda next month.

I'm thinking perhaps "old school" for mine. I got a RoG Viking ship I diddled on and put away I might finish or there is the Zevzda Hansa Kog I lusted after and pull out to fondle occasionaly, perhaps with a wizard as captain and a crew of  ???, something different and I've never done before.  How about a flying ,by magic, Kog with a catapult for armament maybe a bilista, too. I'm taken me out some pirates ... !!!   I'm getting fired up !!!

Airplane building shop is in chaos.  Needs a massive sweeping clean up organizing.  On top of that it needs revamping into a ship yard.
Lotz of unpaid overtime is coming.

@Finstrin
Why not.do two things at once. You can use the debris to make your entry from !!!  I made a hovercraft from mine and it was my main source for detail parts, too.  It's how I find "just" the right thing.

Thank you.  However,,, on a zero-to-hundred clutter/mess meter it registers in mid 90's here.  Current Douglas Dauntless work space is 8.5x11 piece of printer paper.  Clear spots on floor to place feet is about 20% of room.
On top of that --- one stash is boxes piled 7ft high to tightly to walk in.  Another stash is a room packed tight, room cannot be entered.  Of two more stash areas, one can be accessed.
At this point --- clean up and organizing overtime is mandatory.

Well then what are you waiting for man?!  Get cleaning!!!!!!!!  Hop to, move, move, move!!!  >:(

 ;D

Made a supply run to the LHS and stumbled upon a neat little Hobby Boss 688 Class SSN with a DSRV.  Oh its being added to the project I have brewing for this one  ;)  Need to go measure a display base and start mapping out my idea.  I'm going Cold War turned hot, how about the rest of yas?

Hope those light bulbs are working people, liberty is about to expire!!!!!!

I've been keeping Commodore Finsrin apprised of my progress on my latest project for this GB.

It has become the Project That Will Not End. But I am trying, SNAFUs aside.

We're almost at the end of our deployment people!  I want SITREPs from the entire crew on my desk yesterday!  "But sir, we can't travel through time!"  BULL people!!!  Build a darn time machine and then go back in time and submit your reports!  It's not like its rocket science or something....sheesh....

Prepare for an extension as well, length unknown at this time so keep your ears peeled, you won't be gettin' another one....well maybe...but only if you send cookies.

Back to work  >:(
