Similar to my aircraft thread, I wanted to show y'all my ships too. Or rather, ship, since I've only completed one so far, except decals, since I lost the decal sheet :-\
The kit is the Dragon 1/700 USS Mobile Bay.

I had a friend who claimed the Mobile Bay was painted with a sand colored top side while she was assigned as Air Defense Commander during the Gulf War. I have never been able to find anything to confirm that (as I said in my intro post, I hate research) but the idea was so cool sounding, I did it anyway. If I ever find the decal sheet, she will get her numbers and name put on.

I would surprised if that was the case - especially as there don't appear to be any photos around.

If you paint the hull white you'd be close to the old RN China station scheme.
